Metropolitan Hotel Sofia, A Member Of Radisson Individuals

What an absolute disaster of a stay! Weak wifi and terrible ventilation system meant i had sleepless nights! I would have thought a hotel with their reputation woudl ve been more accommodating with a room upgrade for the inconveniences. It's amusing how they call this service. I almost gave a good review but just couldn't!

The restaurant here was very nice for both dinner and breakfast, we both ordered excellent dishes. It had clean facilities in the bathroom: a hairdryer, soft bathrobes and a shower cap.

A good breakfast surprise

The hotel offered a awesome breakfast buffet, with an array of choices that catered to all tastes. Plus, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Unfortunately, my room had a persistent noise from the ventilation system that hindered my sleep. The Wi-Fi signal was also weak.

Oh man, the make-your-own pancake machine was a total game changer! There's something about flipping your own pancakes while grooving to that breakfast vibe. Plus, rooms are spacious and equipped, perfect for any traveler. The food choices at the restaurant were great too!

Now let's chat about those quirks. For €420 a night, I'd expect at least a bottle of water in the mini bar, but nope! The TV? Out of order because of a 'simple' cable issue. And trying to get late-night snacks? The reception handed over bread for cash only. A bit too old-school for my taste 😅

I called the hotel phone number listed and tried to make a reservation through the hotel ( and thought I had) Later checked my email and saw where I had no reservation and was referred to a site to make the reservation. I was unfamiliar with the site and came to Booked.net ( which I have used previously) and made a complete reservation. As a traveler, had I not been searching for something different on email and had email available, I would not have had any reservation!

The hotel was fairly large, with attentive staff and amazing location easy to reach by cab. Location: the property was close enough to the Airport and included minibar, outskirts of Sofia good rooms, secure parking and free wi-fi, and a mall that can provide affordable shopping.

I really enjoyed the comfy mattress that suited my sleep style perfectly and the lovely spa with a range of treatment options. Plus, it was great to unwind with a sauna and a relaxing foot massage after a long day. The only minor hiccup was the Wi-Fi being a bit spotty at times, but it didn't take away from my awesome stay 😊

location could be better but still fine, if you want an hotel near the airport. Has a shopping mall very nearby, which is excellent.

perfect for exploring parks and landmarks in the heart of the city

The hotel's position made it super easy to reach beautiful spots like Borisova gradina, just about 5 km away, and the excellent Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, nearly 6 km away, perfect for weekend strolls. Plus, the breakfast buffet was excellent with so many choices to fuel up for a day of exploring.

The hotel is perfectly placed between the city centre and the airport. Big and quiet rooms and a very nice breakfast buffet.

This is a great hotel to stay and it exceeded most of my expectations. It was my first travel to Sofia, I will like to appreciate the freindliness of the Staff at the hotel who made my stay far more assuring.

The breakfast was good however, Hotel may do so good to itself by improoving the Food menu aspects related to it.
